my job

my job is great in the morning. i try to make it in my seven or so because that will buy me at least a half an hour of peace. it’s so nice to sit there in the dark, quietly welcoming the day. i get in and make coffee. usually, i first have to clean the machine out from the day before. then i spend a few minutes over the first cup of coffee reading the morning comics. after i’ve read the funnies, i start in on the emails that came in over night. once i’ve read through, or at least glanced at those, changed the little red dot from red to blue, it’s on to the days work, whatever that happens to be. the trick to a good morning though is getting up early and having those few minutes to myself.
