postcards and ex

got a post card today from my old friend jenee, an ex actually. she’s in new zealand right now. been living there about a year, i think. looks like beautiful country. i’m a bit jealous actually. she’s a great girl. the guy who eventually snags her will be a really lucky guy. she knows all the words to the thermos song.
tonight i also went out to the times for my friend becca’s birthday. alex and i were the only ones there for a while and sat outside on hennipen. it felt good just sitting there sipping a dirnk and relaxing. it’s not that today was really all that stressful but it seemed long. i feel like every day for a long time now has been wasted in meetings and I haven’t really had the time to do any real, actual work. it’s frustrating.
anyway, we went out for becca’s birthday at the times. they have salsa dancing on thursday nights. becca kept trying to goad me into asking someoen to dance. i hadn’t had enough to drink for that though. i think i’d like to dance but i have no rythm and no idea what i’m doing so i stay away from it. seems like a good idea.
it’s now after eleven (which isn’t late for many, i know) and i have to wake up at 6 to catch the bus. plus, i didn’t work on wednesday this week so that means i have to to do tomorrow night. jeez. well, enough. beditme for me.
