good times

well, a good buddy of mine just left. jake and i have known each other since um… sixth or seventh grade, hard to tell at this point. we’ve moved closer and further as the years go by. it ebbs and flows. you never know how it’s going to go. sometimes we spend all of our time reminising about how things used to be. the parties we used to go to. all that.
sometimes though, it’s more like tonight. you have a little of that. a little of the past but there’s something else there too. something bigger. it’s nice to see an old friend who knows who you were but allows you to be something more. i think that’s the key aspect. it was just really nice. jake is a good guy.
