last night was a good night

last night was a good night. i’d had a full day of work, training all day, running around, that kind of thing. i met becky at Ike’s and she had not only heard back from one of the places that she sent of her resume to but also recieved an unexpected check in the mail (that’s a check not a bill). we got to hang out for a while just the two of us and then her friends mark and sara showed up. we havent’ seen them since their wedding and it was nice to catch up and laugh. they’re good folks. (plus, they treated us as an engagement present. isn’t that nice?)
after that i met up with scott and his friend chris to see the Clutch show at first ave. as always they put on a good show. though they didn’t start until 10 so i only stayed for one set.
anyway, as i drove home i got to thinking about the friends and loved ones in my life and i feel pretty darn lucky. i’ve got good friends who make me laugh and i’ve got a wonderful, beautiful fiance. i guess i could find stuff to complain about but you know, it’d really be me just flappin my lips.
