snow day

i feel pretty darn good right now, yeah. it’s snowing peacefully outside. the crazy neighbors across the street, the ones with all the lights, are building a big snowman. i hurt my back shoveling, yeah, but i took a bath with some soothing salts and had a shot and a beer. now i’m listening to a mix from an old friend.
i found an old letter from that same friend. that’s right, a paper letter. the old fashioned kind. that guy was always into old thyme music and old thyme things. it’s good to read. all about life on the farm and how the bank is threatening to forclose (he doesn’t of course live on a farm). it’s a good read and it reminds me that i miss the guy.
so i’m going to sit here and listen to some good organ jazz while it snows outside, finish my beer and read my letter.
