i’ve mellowed with age
used to be
i’d sit all night
listening to the
irish drinking classics
whiskey
all night.
now,
single scotch
three fingers or so
that’ll do it
and i listen to
the music of bollywood
while soaking in
the tub.

this photo is right under the high bridge in st paul. you know, i drive on that bridge all the time but you don’t realize just how fucking long it is until you stand under it. crazy. anyway, the water looks nice swirling off the log.

it hasn’t stopped raining in three days. i don’t mean that it’s been cloudy and kind of raining. i mean it’s been raining for three days straight. without a break. everything is soaked, including my mood. i’m not down or sad so much as i just feel wet, you know?

i found this cool old railroad bridge nearby where i took this shot. i went for a walk earlier in the week and was gone like 2 hrs. there’s nothing like a walk by the river and the railroad tracks to clear out the cobwebs.

texas is muggy right now. but last night i have to admit that the heat felt good as i soaked my feet in the pool. i rolled up my jeans and wore sandals. so much more comfortable than the dress slacks and business casual shoes i’m wearing today.
