ah, nothing like texas

texas is muggy right now. but last night i have to admit that the heat felt good as i soaked my feet in the pool. i rolled up my jeans and wore sandals. so much more comfortable than the dress slacks and business casual shoes i’m wearing today.
long day yesterday, 4:30am to about 9:30 at night was devoted to work time. we did take a bit of a break to go out to dinner at a bbq place. i have now eaten fried okra. i don’t know what all the fuss is about on either side. it didn’t taste like much to me. the bbq was good though there wasn’t enough of it and the dinner rolls never arrived.
so, i’ve been kind of bad bout the pic of the day since i got back from brussels. i hope to get better about it though. i have been playing with film again. i shouldn’t have sold my scanner. now i might need to get a new one that will handle film. . . maybe time to take a gander at craigslist. i also got a polaroid that is fun but damn, that film is expensive. oh well. got a couple of instamatics too. really neat. so anyway, hopefully i’ll get to play with those more soon.
wait, . . . did i already write about the cameras? now i feel like i have. oh well if i did. i probably already wrote about the new grill too. i am all set for summer fun outside. i can hang out in the yard in my new used loungy cocktails shirt, grilling on my new grill, taking pictures of it all. . . .
i think it’s going to be a good summer.

I love okra, but I think it’s more of a texture thing for me. It doesn’t taste that different than other green vegetables but it feels neat in my mouth.
