it’s raining. in december.

it’s the last day of 2006. it’s dark out. it’s raining. yes, it’s raining. i live in minnesota. this is the land of ice fishing, snow mobiling, and cross country skiing. and it’s raining. in december. it’s been raining for what feels like days but i think it’s been only two. it’s been grey longer. and it has been raining on and off for pretty much all of december. raining. in minnesota. seriously. i’m told that snow is on the way and they’re starting to see it in st cloud. i dunno. i’ll believe it when i see it.
so, this is something i just don’t understand. the republican party seems to think that global warming is a myth. a hoax put on by liberals using “scare tactics.” first off, and a small side note, i wish we were half as good at scare tactics as the republicans. . . damn. but more seriously, i think at this point it’s pretty clear that global warming isn’t a myth. it’s science. yes, the planet will go through climate changes on it’s own but it’s pretty clear that we’re driving this one. and the way that i’ve seen people drive, that’s a scary thing.
