wow, i’m awake

been up since around 4:45 this morning. went out for breakfast at bonnie’s and for the first time in three years or so of trying, made it in for the “4-6 special”. it was good too. two eggs, made to order, hashbrowns, toast (and jelly) and sausages. have to pay extra for coffee but it’s worth it. i feel surprisingly rested and ready to go though. nothing like getting up and having a good breakfast with a good friend to make it a good day.
oh they just turned the lights on at work. too bad, it was nice and dark and calm.
well, time to get to it.

Hee. I always wondered why Bonnie’s was in the City Pages best of the Twin Cities… I mean, there are like 8 million breakfast places that are better…
i dunno about that. i think what bonnie’s offers has to do with more than the food. it’s also the atmosphere. to me, it’s like the perfect combination of small town diner, back highway truck stop and grandma’s kitchen.
