20080817 - rush ticket stub

i went a little crazy with the scanning this weekend. here’s the ticket stub from when i went to see rush with scott and co. earlier this year. it was a fun show.
anyway, i finally went through that large stack of paperwork on my desk and scanned it in to the laptop. now, i allowed myself to do this because i also encrypted my entire home directory. so now that the originals are all shredded and i’m keeping encrypted copies on my laptop and backed up, everything should be nice and secure.
i also came up with a way to organize them. i tag their meta data. so i can dump them all in one big folder and do an easy search to get to them all or i’ve created “smart folders” that are sort of like saved searches.

other stuff. went to three birthday parties last night. was fun to see all the friends and meet new ones. i kind of felt like we were all over the city. i had a nap so it was able to stay up late. good times.
today was family day. brunch with becky’s folks up in anoka. fun to get up there. it is a nice little town. good to see her folks. just pleasant, you know?
then on to fleet farm, which isn’t family related but was interesting. becky hadn’t been and kept asking what they sold there. i kept saying, “sweetie, i told you, they sell everything here.” but i think we were both a little surprised to find camo lingerie. nothing says sexy like killin’ deer.
finished off the day at my mom’s. they had saved the opening ceremonies of the olympics for us. hot damn, that was an amazing show. truly. then we had steaks with them and the grandparents.
all in all, an awesome weekend.
